Make It a Freezer Meal

1.

Add the raw beef stew meat and sliced carrots to a gallon-size freezer bag.

2.

Add the diced tomatoes, garlic powder, dried thyme and smoked paprika.

3.

Leave the sweet potatoes and beef broth out. You'll add both fresh on cooking day.

4.

Remove as much air as possible, seal, label, and lay flat. Freeze for up to 3 months.

5.

Thaw completely in the refrigerator. Transfer everything to your slow cooker, then add 2 medium cubed sweet potatoes and 2 cups beef broth. Do not cook the meal from frozen.

MAKE IT YOURS

Smart Swaps

→

Use baby potatoes instead of sweet potatoes if that's more your thing.

→

Add mushrooms or diced onion for extra vegetables and flavor.

→

Want a thicker stew? Mash a few pieces of sweet potato into the broth before serving.

→

Serve it exactly as-is or add a piece of crusty bread for soaking up the broth.

REMEMBER

Simple works.

A solid dinner doesn't require a complicated recipe. Protein, vegetables, something you actually enjoy eating — and one less decision to make at the end of the day.
